"The representative from Basement Systems showed up right on time and got right to work taking measurements and asking questions about the space where the work was to be done. When he was done, he came back upstairs and presented very detailed drawings of the proposed work, which included a perimeter drainage system with redundant sump pumps in a newly-dug pit, which would feed into a pop-up outlet in the back yard. The sales pitch was similar to the others we had seen, where we were educated on how water gets into the basement, understanding hydrostatic pressure against the home's foundation, and where water wants to go.
A few days after receiving the quote, we asked for him to come back and give us a quote for a gravity-fed system, rather than a sump-pump system. He stopped over within the same day, I believe, and took measurements, and called me at work right from my back yard.
The price for the system was nearly the lowest of any others we had gotten, though we ended up not going with them because they were unwilling to do a gravity-fed system to the back of our property, as it did not have sufficient grading. The system itself seems to have a smaller channel than that of other basement waterproofing solutions, but it seemed like it would be adequate to me.

"Pat thoroughly inspected the property inside and out and made holistic recommendations to solve the suspected water problems. He was very professional and took time to explain his recommendations and considerations. Unlike the other companies I met with, he also provided options depending upon my budget and desire to start small or big and was willing to recommend a contractor to take down and rebuild the finished part of my basement. Overall estimate was comparable to others, approximate cost was for full basement and several windows. I ended up choosing a different company but the choice was close. "Let me start by telling you my backstory. I live in a house built in 1929, it has a stone foundation. It wasn't until Hurricane Sandy that I felt the effects of a house that had no waterproofing and we had about three feet of water. We did a little bit of mitigation, and had no more problems for awhile. More recently, NY had five days of non stop rain and the walls in basement and flooring barely held it together. So that's when I knew I really had to do something. Every time we heard the weather report we would keep checking that basement and our little water pump. The water pump did ok, but we had wet vacs and worked like a team, but the water was coming up through the floors. Just a little 2-3 inches can cause so much damage. "Weather-Tite was recommended to me by a contractor who I trust to evaluate and repair water and moisture issues that I was having in my garage. Bob and his crew did a phenomenal job!! My husband and I are beyond thrilled with the results! They are professional, courteous, and fastidious. Half of my garage is underground, as there is a hill in my front yard leading up to the house. The repair involved excavating dirt along the front of my house next to the garage foundation wall down to the drain pipe, repairing cracks and holes, applying waterproofing and more. The interior wall was cleaned and drylock masonry paint was applied. My landscaping on the outside had to be removed and then put back. They did such a good job that you couldn't even tell it had been moved at all. We also had Bob and his crew complete a second job for us. This involved excavating another trench but in the back of the house along 16 feet of the foundation, replacing a drain pipe and waterproofing. They were at our house for three days.
